Jeep faithful have been waiting for an option at pickup truck since the Comanche retired nearly 30 years ago. They’ll get their wish this summer when the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator rolls into showrooms. We preview it below.
Your Sneak Peek of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator
The new Jeep Gladiator is a transformative vehicle. It sports a top and doors that can be taken off to bring you closer to your surroundings. It also boasts an all-steel 5’ cargo bed with a spray-in bed liner, a 3-position tailgate, and a high intake so you can cross through streams.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator also has the type of interior that all trucks envy. There are both available cloth and leather wrapped seats, steering, dash, and trims, dual zone temperature control, heated steering, and seats. There are also unique things like removable Bluetooth® speakers.
The Gladiator’s touchscreen infotainment center has navigation, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Connect™, as well as views from the rear back-up camera.
The Gladiator is a Jeep in every sense of the word. That means performance is front and center. Here are just a few of the things that enhance the Gladiator’s capability:
- Trailer Brake control to provide extra braking power when towing
- 11.1” ground clearance
- Heavy-duty axles with thicker tubes and forgings than the average truck
- Rock-Trac® 4×4 system w/ 84:1 crawl ratio
- 3.6L V6 base engine w/ 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque
- Stop-Start tech for better fuel efficiency
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator doesn’t skimp on safety features. In fact, it’s constructed with more than 80 standard and available features. Blind spot monitoring, Lane Departure, Full Stop Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Park Assist, and Rear Traffic Detection are just a few.
The Gladiator’s build also contributes to what this truck can stand up to, and how it protects passengers. Not only is it constructed with a comprehensive steel cage, but all other parts are reinforced and built for durability. The electronic sway bar, locking differentials, and fox shocks are designed for the rough terrain, wrapping you in both safety and performance capability from grille to tailgate.
